Were Country Music Awards co-hosts Blake Shelton and Reba McEntire inspired by Ricky Gervais’ scandalous Golden Globes repartee? Because at least one of their jokes – a joke about Jake Gyllenhaal being gay — was pretty defamatory and tasteless.
Lindsay Lohan stepped out in some kind of heinous fur jacket to attend a NY screening of Jake Gyllenhaal‘s new thriller, Source Code. And Jake doesn’t looked at all thrilled about it.
He should be smiling because the film is getting rave reviews and great word of mouth, which bodes well for a smash box office for his movie. But he looks glum and disgusted, perhaps by the sight of the famous-for-nothing bad girl.
Maybe because he anticipated the slew of stories today hinting at a close encounter at the after party. Thankfully, there were no photos of Lindsay and Jake together at the bash. Good going, publicists.
He did pose with his adorable costar Michelle Monaghan, a young actress who is sor of the alternative universe version of Lohan. An excellent young actress who is never seen on the party scene and has never had a single personal scandal . Weird, right?
Lindsay tweeted an excuse yesterday about her fall this week after leaving a NY club. She was photographed at 2:30 AM , trying to set a record for pavement diving. Jake Gyllenhaal may have earned his very own Taylor Swift revenge song.
After their brief whirlwind — and much publicized — romance last winter, Taylor is said to have been blindsided and hurt when Jake cooled off quickly on her. Something about the age difference. But as if that wasn’t bad enough…
Recent reports (and photos) of him cozying up to Taylor’s nemesis Camilla Belle was like pouring salt on the wound. Jake alleged spent a lot of time chatting up the lovely Camilla at the Art of Elysium Heaven Gala in LA on Golden Globes weekend. People were talking, if you get my drift. And, if you recall, Joe Jonas also dumped Taylor (by phone!) for the brunette actress. Which earned Joe his own infamous bad boyfriend tune.
Camilla — wearing a flesh-colored lack bra that showed off some major abs — was asked by InTouch Weekly about Jake at the LA premiere of “From Prada to Nada.” All she said was, “He’s obviously a really talented guy.” Yeah, start writing that mean Jake song now, Tay Girl.

Jake Gyllenhaal introduction to his pal Natalie Portman was the highlight of the Palm Springs Film Festival Awards on Saturday (Jan. 8).
Livening up the long night of awards handed to “The Social Network,” Javier Bardem, Carey Mulligan and Ben Affleck, Jake got everyone’s attention when he noted that the night’s emcee Mary Hart wasn’t wearing any underwear. Then he poked gentle fun at his good friend Natalie, describing her as the “Audrey Hepburn of our generation”, citing such attributes as “elegant, graceful, has amazing eyebrows, talented, really short, funny, smart, incredibly kind and Jewish.”
But quite a few elderly jaws dropped when he described her “Black Swan” performance as “really f–king good.”
